Dear KCS Executive Committee,

As some of you may know RAC (Riligious affairs committe?????) is not a permanent committee under KCCNA.  RAC needs to be reconstituted every time a new KCCNA executive committee is elected.  Since the current Exec. Committee is yet to reconstitute the committee there is no RAC is existence. Since you copied the mail – I just wanted to clarify the situations.  

However here are my 2 cents on this issue. 

I am not at all surprised by these developments described in the letter below. I have outlined these issues 6 years ago and warned the associations/community to be vigilant against at least some of the priests who will have no qualms in destroying the fundamental of this community/associations to fulfill their on gains and they will use any means to get their way.  There is no God here, no rule of law and there is no sanctity of priesthood. (ഇതെല്ലാം ഉള്ള ഇങ്ങേരുള്ളപ്പോള്‍ പിന്നെ എന്തിനാ ഈ അച്ചന്മാര്‍ അല്ലെ??? പിന്നെ എന്തിനാ മാഷേ അവരെ എഴുന്നള്ളിച്ചു കണ്‍ വെന്‍ ഷനി ലേക്ക് കൊണ്ട് വരുന്നത്? കുര്‍ബ്ബാനക്ക് പകരം ഓര്‍ലാണ്ടോയില്‍ ഒന്നുകില്‍ കാബറെ ഡാന്‍സ് നടത്താം അല്ലെങ്കില്‍ താന്‍ തന്നെ ആ കുര്‍ബ്ബാന അങ്ങ് ചെല്ല്. കഷ്ടം )   

However what I did not realize at that time is that the service of some of the priests will lead to such a “spiritual destruction” of the faithful where police protection is needed to conduct church business.( തന്നെ പോലുള്ള ഭീകരന്മാരുടെ കളിയില്‍ നിന്ന് ക്നാനായക്കാരെ മോചിപ്പിക്കണമെങ്കില്‍ പോലിസ് പോര പട്ടാളം തന്നെ ഇറങ്ങണം)  What is even more interesting is that these are happening right beneath the watch of a Bishop who is supposed to be caring for the faithful and protector of rule of law. (എന്തൊരു സ്നേഹം !!! എന്നാ പിന്നെ അങ്ങേരോടുള്ള നിസ്സഹരണം എടുത്തു മാറ്റരുതോ?)

After all, why this Bishop should care? Since we are fighting between us He does not have to worry about us fighting for "true Knanaya Missions or own diocese" instead being sucked into the "so called" Knanaya missions.  Together with some of our so called "priests" they act like a pack of foxes who is drinking our (sheep’s) blood (or our money in this case) for their benefit (പാവങ്ങളായ ക്നാനായക്കാരോട് എന്തൊരു സ്നേഹം??? ഈ കപട സ്നേഹം തിരിച്ചറഞ്ഞു കഴിഞ്ഞു ഞങ്ങള്‍ )- Have you forgot about divide and rule?

Once a vibrant organization and the cornerstone of Knanaites in North America, Chicago community is now divided into multiple factions after 5-6 years of spiritual service – Truly a great accomplishment indeed. Unless we can shed our own ego, competition for worthless positions and photo opportunities, we will never be able to enjoy the togetherness and relationships we enjoyed over 20-30 years (സത്യമാണ് ഈ പറഞ്ഞത്.അപ്പോള്‍ ചിലപ്പോള്‍ ബോധ്മോക്കെയുണ്ട് അല്ലെ?? എന്നിട്ട് മേല്‍ പറഞ്ഞ ഈഗോ , മാത്സര്യ ബുദ്ധി ഇത്യാദി ഗുണ വിശേഷങ്ങള്‍ ഷെഡ്‌ ചെയ്തു കളഞ്ഞോ), when we had only associations to bring people together on a regular basis.  Though we used to have some issues during election time, we always came together for the goodness of the community and proudly resisted outside forces who tried to wreck the centuries old traditions of the community.

Sermon after sermon and news letter after news letter I see some of these priests write that if there is no mission or church our children will go astray and as recently as last week I saw one of these spiritual leaders wrote that 50% of marriages this year outside the community because of non existence of Zero-Kna Mission. ചുമ്മാ തെറ്റി ധരിപ്പിക്കാതെ മാഷേ ...പിള്ളേര്‍ക്ക് ഒരുമിച്ചു മറ്റു ക്നാനായ കുട്ടികള്‍ക്കൊപ്പം പള്ളിയില്‍ പോകാനും പിന്നെ വേദ പാഠം ഒക്കെ പഠിച്ചു വളരുവാനും കഴിഞ്ഞാലെ അല്പം പ്രതീക്ഷ വയ്ക്കുവാന്‍ സാധിക്കു. അല്ലാതെ ക്നാനായ മിഷന്‍ സ്ഥാപിച്ചിട്ട് ഒരു കാര്യവുമില്ല. ഇയാളെ പോലുള്ള കഴുകന്മാര്‍ നടക്കുകയല്ലേ ചുറ്റിലും.)

I have a question for these Spiritual leaders - How many children they have or they tried to raise in this country to know the reality.  Also I wanted to know the source of statistics (May be they are looking at total marriages among Syro-Malabarians to get the conclusion that 50% marriages are outside the community).  I see more and more young people marrying inside community and it is not because of missions.  These are 25-30 year olds who born and raised in this country long before Zero-Kna missions came to existence. They married Knanites because of associations, KCYLNA, Conventions, True Knanaya missions and above all the way they were raised by their parents. (നല്ല ചോദ്യം. ഇതിനുള്ള ഉത്തരമായി താഴെ കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്ന ഫോട്ടോയിലേക്ക്‌ നോക്ക്. ചിക്കാഗോയിലെ ഹൈസ്കൂള്‍ ലെവലില്‍ പഠിക്കുന്ന ക്നാനായ കുട്ടികള്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞ ആഴ്ച ധ്യാനത്തിന് പോയതിന്റെ ചിത്രമാണ്. ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുക ധ്യാനമാണ് ...കൂത്താടാന്‍ പോയതല്ല...അമേരിക്കയിലെ മൊത്തത്തില്‍ ഉള്ളതല്ല ചിക്കാഗോയില്‍ മാത്രം ഉള്ളതാണ്  )

ഇനി പറ പള്ളികൊണ്ട് ഗുണമൊന്നും ഇല്ല അല്ലെ?

Dear Parents - No mission or priests can raise your children in this country - It is your responsibility and it is all about how much "quality" time you spend for them and whether your acts make them see what is good in life.  You can be great role models for your children if you choose to have a life-style that make them feel that way.  If you do not fulfill that responsibility and rather spend all your time drinking, playing cards, talking ill about fellow Knanites because of missions/politics, then your children will suffer as well – no Mission/parish can save them. (മിഷന്‍ പിള്ളേരെ രക്ഷിക്കും എന്ന് വല്യ പ്രതീക്ഷ ഒന്നും ഇല്ല. പന്നെ ഇവരെയൊക്കെ നല്ല രീതിയില്‍ വളര്‍ത്താന്‍ ഒരു കൈ സഹായം, അത് അസോസിയേഷന്റെ വകയായി ഇല്ലായിരുന്നു. എന്റെ മക്കള്‍ക്ക്‌ ഇല്ലാതിരുന്നത് കൊച്ചു മക്കള്‍ക്ക് എങ്കിലും കിട്ടട്ടെ. ഇനി ഇത് വിശ്വാസമില്ലങ്കില്‍ ഒന്ന് കൂടി ആ ഫോടോയിലേക്ക് നോക്കിക്കേ? ഏതെങ്കിലും ഒരു ലത്തീന്‍ ഇടവകയില്‍ ഇത്രയും പിള്ളേരെ മൂന്നു ദിവസത്തേക്ക് ധ്യാനിപ്പിക്കുവാന്‍ കിട്ടുമോ? )

You can never pass on the responsibility of raising children to a mission/parish.  If we have good priests who maintain the sanctity of priesthood, honest and trustworthy, such priests can certainly be enablers in our effort to raise our children in this land – As long as we do our part(we certainly have such priests in our midst). Not those who have time and time again proved to be Patholigic/Compulsive liars and who does no longer know what is right from wrong. I sincerely hope once again this prove to be a valuable experience for all of us.  I want my fellow Knanites Chicago and elsewhere really take a deep breath and spend some time reflecting the past.  Where we were as a community 6 years ago vs. today?  Are we better off as a community than we were before?
