I have called a meeting of CC for tonight, but Jose Kottoor is busy and Johan is in India (will be back on next Sunday only). Johan emailed me back and said it is time we take a firm stand (since he is a lawyer, and when he makes such comments, my intution is that the complainers have little basis) 

 However, it won't hurt to obtain a formal legal opinion  - unlike in the past, KCCNA can afford it. Plus, any decision NC may entrust the EC (that is my feeling as to what the outcome would be), can be justified based on the legal opinion (if the lawyer says we have no case, then we may need to amend the constitution, on the other hand, if the lawyer's advice is in our favor, then we can stick with our position - in other words, lawyers advice is our justification for whichever position we take - mind you, there are three lawyers in the CC, and nobody raised any issue with respect to disqualifying adopted children, and Johan's response indicates our position is strong).   With respect to the Agenda, it appears there are too many Agenda items.

Do you really need any of those updates? The main reason for the Emergency NC meeting is to resolve the convention issues, and the focus of the NC should be that. Even the adopted children issue, was it already decided and the EC given the OK to deal with it? ഇവന്‍ ആരാ ഇതൊക്കെ പറയാന്‍? ഇവന്റെ ഈ പരിപാടി സ്വന്തം കുടുംബത്തില്‍ പോയി നടത്തട്ടെ !!!! So my opinion is that once the complainers know it is again on the table, they may start campaigning. It may be more manageable if we (CC) give you (EC) a written position (CC's position) and distribute it at the NC, and just inform the NC, that in consultation with CC, you may seek the opinion of a lawyer and make a prudent decision so that the endogamous nature of the convention will be protected. No discussion, period (they are going to bring in sympathiser - and would play on the sentments of the sad little kids, who can't attend the convention, and some NC members, especially the youth will fall for it).  The only option given to NC should be if the convention should be conducted in Chicago under direct KCCNA supervision, or moved out of Chicago. McCormic vs Rosemont or even McCormic under KCS should not be an option. എല്ലിന്‍ കഷണം. എല്ലാവരും സോണി എന്നോ സൂണി എന്നോ ഒക്കെ വിളിക്കുന്ന ഈ രാഷ്ട്രീയ രാമനെ ഈയുള്ളവന്‍ സണ്ണി എന്ന് വിളിക്കുന്നതില്‍ ചിലര്‍ പ്രതികരിച്ചിരിന്നു. പേര് പോലും അറിയാതെയാണോ ഈ പരിപാടിക്ക് പോയത് എന്നതായിരുന്നു ചോദ്യം. ചിരി വന്നു സാറേ. കാരണം എഴുതിയ എനിക്കും, ഇട്ട സ്വന്തം തന്തക്കും, പിന്നെ അദ്ദേഹത്തിനെ പണ്ടേ അറിയാവുന്നവര്‍ക്കും അറിയാം ഇദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ശരിക്കുമുള്ള പേര് സണ്ണി എന്നാണ് എന്ന്. അപ്പന്‍ ഇട്ട പേര് മോശമായതിനാലാകണം വല്യ ക്യാനടാക്കാരനായപ്പോള്‍ ആ പേര് മാറ്റിയേക്കാം എന്ന് തോന്നിയത്. അത് ഒരു കണക്കിന് നല്ലതാണ്. ഈ വൃത്തികെട്ട കളികള്‍ ഇറക്കി വെറുക്ക പ്പെട്ടവനായി മാറുമ്പോള്‍ ആ പാവം ബഹുമാനിക്കപെടുന്ന മാഷിനു അല്പമെങ്കിലും നാണക്കേടു കുറയും എന്ന് കരുതാം. പേരല്ലേ മാറ്റിയുള്ളൂ എന്നോര്‍ത്ത് സമാധാനിക്കാം.
